There is no membership fee required. -

SMS authentication is a phone-number authentication using short messages. As part of security enhancements, SMS authentication has been introduced as part of security enhancements since 9 September 2021.
*Registration using a landline phone number is not available.
*Please register mobile phone numbers starting with 090, 080 or 070.Mobile phone numbers outside Japan cannot be registered.
*One phone number for authentication is required per person. The same phone number cannot be used by more than one person. -

Your account will be automatically locked when your password authentication is failed for multiple times.
Once the account gets locked, you will be unable to reach our online shopping service so please check your password carefully when signing in.
In order to log in again, you need to wait for 24 hours after the account lockout.If you are in case of hurry, please provide information below and contact us from the Inquiry form.

Up to 10% (rounded down to the nearest whole number) of the value of each item is granted as points.
*excluding shipping and handling charges, and taxes.
The points can be used for discounts on purchase which is 1 point for 1 JPY, or in exchange for point-only items.
You can check your current points on 'My Page'.
Points are valid for one year from the date of the last purchase.
Each time when you complete a new order, the expiry date of the entire point balance is extended for one year from that date.
If you have not purchased any products on the website for a year, all points accumulated in your account will expire.
The percentage of points awarded will vary depending on an item.
For details on the points, please refer to the 'Points Redemption' section of each item page. -

Select 「一部ポイントを使用する」(Use my partial points) on the 'Payment Method' to redeem your points on the purchase.

However, the maximum amount of points that you can use is 20% of the total.

If you want to pay a pre-order item by a credit card, the payment will be processed when the item is in stock.
The payment will be declined, if there is a problem with the card.
In this case you need to change your credit card details, as you will receive an email from us regarding the payment error.How to change a payment method:
My Page > Order History > Change Payment Method*Please specify a card that can be used or change to another payment method.
*Your order will be cancelled unless you change the method by the deadline indicated in the "Credit card payment" email.
*Please contact your credit card company in order to determine the cause of payment failure. -
A.Select the option "前回利用したカードを使う"(Pay by the credit card you used last time) on the payment page in order to pay by the credit card you previously used on our website.
If you are new or want to pay by a new credit card, fill in your credit card information directly.

Domestically purchased item(s) will usually be arrived in 1-3 days.
As for pre-ordered item(s), they get shipped after the release day.
Back-order item(s) need around 3 to 30 days to be shipped.*However the delivery may be delayed under the circumstances such as:
Due to doujin conventions e.g. "Comic Market".
Even if the arrival got delayed, neither we or the shipping company do not make any compensation.
We appreciate your understanding. -

We are sorry. We can't make any changes once you've placed it, including changing items, quantity of the item, delivery method, payment method, recipient name and phone number.
This also means you cannot add extra items to the order you have already placed. -

You can change your delivery address from "Order History" in 'My Page' only when the order status is either "ご予約(Pre-order)" or "入金をお待ちしております(Unpaid)".
When the order status have been updated to "通販入荷済み(Keep in stock)", "出荷準備を開始しました(Prepared for shipping)" or "出荷準備が完了しました(Ready for shipping)", the delivery address cannot be changed. -

We are sorry to say that we are unable to cancel or return an order for you, according to our Terms of Use: Article 18 Placement and Establishment of Order.
In principle, we are unable to accept cancellation requests for either the entire order or partial items.
Please be sure to double-check your order before placing it. -

Any refund or exchange of an item(s) because of the customers' personal preferences would not be accepted.

If you have received a faulty item, contact us within 5 days after the purchased items will be arrived at your domestic address in Japan so we will get this sorted for you.
For the situation below, we cannot accept the refund/replacement request:
- The item is already opened
- Damage caused by customers
- The item orderd on other website
- When the damage wasn't obvious that doesn't disturb its normal use or lower its value
- Damaged in transportation process while your shipping method is "メール便"

Our service automatically sends you an email such as when you sign up, and when your order is completed.
There are possible reasons why you may not be receiving our emails:
a). Registered with a wrong email address.
You can check and change your email on 'My Page'.b). Your email software may be making our emails as junk mail.
Change the settings of your email provider or security setting to receive our emails as follows.
- Disable email rejection settings
- Enable receiving emails containing a URL
- Enable receiving emails from a PC
- Allow receiving emails from "melonbooks.co.jp"Your smartphone/cellphone or Gmail app might reject our email by default based on your provider's initial settings.
You can also check the emails that we sent you in the past on 'My Page' as follows:
"注文履歴" (Order History) > "この注文のメール履歴" (Email History of This Order).*This refers to automatic emails such as order confirmations and emails regarding your payment numbers.

Coupon is a 16 digit number that allows a discount of the face value.
【e.g.】1234-1234-1234-1234
In order to apply it, enter the coupon code including the hyphens (-) in the "Coupon Input Box"(クーポン入力欄) on the Payment Method Confirmation page during the purchase procedure.
*If the code is not valid as well as containing alphabetic characters or is not a 16-digit code, the coupon will not applied.Note:
- This coupon cannot be used for "さくっと注文 (Quick Order/Store Order)".
- The code cannot be re-used once it has been used, nor can it be cancelled after the order has been confirmed.
- Coupons cannot be applied after the order has been confirmed.
- Coupons cannot be redeemed when placing an order, re-selecting a payment method or sequential dispatch procedures.
- When using a coupon at the time of a 'normal order' or 'sequential dispatch procedure', it is not possible to select the order for which the coupon is to be used.
- Discounts that result in an item cost of less than one yen cannot be used. In addition, shipping and handling fees will be charged respectively.
- Expired coupons cannot be used.
- If the purchase to which the coupon has been applied is cancelled, the coupon will also expire.
- Each coupon issued has a different discount amount (discount rate), maximum amount (minimum amount), the scope of application and expiry date.
- The detailed terms and conditions are stated in the coupon issue notification email, so please be sure to check them.
- Coupons are only valid for the eligible account to which they were issued.
- Please note that orders using the coupon are not eligible for 'Collective booking'.
- Orders using coupons are not eligible for "Collective Reservations".
- We cannot accept cancellations or returns for your convenience.

You can add your Favourite Circles/Authors on an item page after logging in to My Page.
Once you have added your Favourite Circles and Authors, a notification email will be automatically sent to your registered email address at the following times:
- When a product arrives in stock.
- When products are restocked.
- When a product is available for pre-order.
